Populus Data Solutions has launched the UK’s first Opinion Influencers Rapid Response Panel

It provides direct access for the research community to this most influential section of the British public. ‘Opinion Influencers Rapid Response’ will be offered as a next day polling service and as an analysis variable on our online omnibus

Opinion Influencers

Populus Data Solutions has developed a bespoke algorithm identifying 8% of the population as Opinion Influencers;


Opinion Influencers are:


  • Highly active in their community and online – demonstrated by actions such as starting online campaigns, writing to newspapers, standing for elected positions and twice as likely to use Twitter as the general population


  • Actively sought out for their advice – by extended family, senior colleagues, experts, and members of their local community


  • Highly informed – five times more likely to read the FT than the general population


  • Future-shapers – pointing towards future trends in behaviour and attitudes

  • 500 completed interviews


  • Next day service: 10 questions by 11am with data tables by noon the following day


Parallel surveys with a nationally representative sample can be completed within the same time frame to benchmark ‘Opinion Influencers’ results against those of the general public


Available as a cross break on the Populus Data Solutions omnibus


The Opinion Influencers analysis variable will also be available as a break on the online omnibus of 2,000 nationally representative adults that runs three times a week. This will typically yield 160 interviews with Opinion Influencers, a figure which can be boosted to 500 completes
